VBS Craft kit "Illuminated paper figures"

When the days get darker and greyer outside, cosy light is essential indoors. With our Christmas table lights, you can conjure up a cosy atmosphere for your home in no time at all.

In addition to the materials included in the set, you will need scissors, a pencil, a ruler, possibly graphite paper, a folding tool, a hole punch, a black pen, some ribbon and hot glue.

The first step is to transfer the templates onto the craft cardboard sheet. There are two ways to do this: Either cut out the templates and trace the outlines with a pencil or transfer the motifs using graphite paper.

Once you have transferred the motifs, cut them out along the continuous lines with scissors.

Place the vellum paper on the motif. Roughly trace it with a pencil, cut it out and glue it to the craft cardboard sheet from the inside.

Use a black pen to draw a face, buttons or other decorations. Glue on the wobbly eyes with some VBS Handicraft glue. Leave the wind lights to dry briefly.

Use the hole punch to punch two holes at the top end. The wind light can be closed here later with a ribbon.

Then trace all the dotted lines with the folding tool and a ruler and fold them inwards. Seal the glue flaps with some VBS Handicraft glue and glue the wind light together.

You can cut out hats, scarves or small decorative elements from the felt as you wish. You can also shape the chenille wire as you wish and use it to embellish the wind lights.

Finally, place an LED tea light in the wind light, close it with a ribbon, put the hat on the figure, tie a scarf around it and enjoy the glow.
