Step-by-step instructions for a textured painting with macramé cord on stretched canvas
Step 1: Paint the stretched canvas
Paint both stretched canvas frames with your chosen acrylic paint. In our example, we have chosen the colour "light ochre". If the colour is too thick for you, you can dilute it slightly with water. Apply as many coats as necessary until the colour covers. Remember to allow each coat of paint to dry completely before applying a new coat. If you need to do this quickly, you can also use a hairdryer.
