You will need 2 round rods 18 cm long each. Cut these two from a round rod with Ø 6 mm or use two alternative rods in this length.
For the macramé work, use our craft ideas
macramé cross knot and
macramé lark's head knot.
Cut 8 strands of 2m each from the yarn for the hammock. Attach them to a round stick using the lark's head knot. There will be 16 strands of yarn in front of you.
Then tie the knot as follows:
1st + 2nd row: cross knot (makes 4 knots).
3rd + 4th row: at the edges of these rows do not knot outer threads and make staggered square knots (results in 3 knots)
5th + 6th row: from here on, repeat the pattern from row 1 to 4 until a small mat is made.
Knot the ends of the threads to the second log, trim any excess threads and seal the ends with a little craft glue.
Twist another 4 screw hooks into the bottom of the box and screw the hangers into the back. Finally, hang the round rods in the bottom hooks and attach your organizer to the wall. It is now ready to be filled and hung.
