Sew gingerbread men

Transfer the pattern and cut the fabric

Firstly, transfer the template for the gingerbread man onto the fabric twice. Make sure you trace the outlines carefully. Then cut out both man parts from the fabric without seam allowances. This will give you two identical pieces of fabric that will be sewn together later.

Design the face

In the next step, paint the mouth and eyebrows on one of the sides of the fabric. Make sure that the colours are clearly visible and durable. Then place the wobbly eyes on the face to find the optimal position. Iron the fabric paint with an iron to fix it in place. You can then sew the wobbly eyes on securely.

Sew the sewing pieces together

Now place the two pieces of fabric on top of each other. It is important that the painted sides are facing outwards. Sew them together with a zigzag stitch. The zigzag stitch is particularly helpful as it neatly finishes the edges and ensures a stable seam. Don't forget to leave a small opening - you will fill the gingerbread man through this later.

Stuffing the man

Now fill the gingerbread man with cotton wool over the open area. Make sure that the man is filled evenly and not too tightly so that it remains nice and soft. Then close the remaining opening with the zigzag stitch.

Decorate

Finally, add some festive glamour! Decorate your gingerbread man with ribbon and a small jingles. You can either tie the jingles together with the ribbons or attach them separately with yarn.
