This is how easy it is to design christmas crib
Prime terracotta-pots of Ø 4 cm in the colors ice blue and grey brown. These represent the clothing for Mary and Joseph. Then use hot glue to glue a wooden ball Ø 3 cm onto each of the clay pots as heads (on the hole on the terracotta pot-underside).
Cut small rectangles (approx. 18 x 6 cm) from craft felt and shape them into headscarves. Fold the cut-out pieces over a little and place them around the wooden balls. to try them out first If you like the headgear you have made, fix it to the respective head with hot glue and wrap a small cord. around each one decoratively
To make the baby Jesus, cut a small felt circle (approx. Ø 5 cm) and wrap it around a small wooden ball Ø12 mm so that it looks like a head sticking out of a bundle. Fix everything with glue and then stick it into a small pot (approx. Ø 3 cm) lined with a little straw .
Then simply paint the faces on the wooden balls: with a paint marker using black dots for eyes, larger dots for pink or copper-colored cheeks and add white highlights. Now the finished figures and the little pot with the Jesusking can be glued onto a bark plate.
Embellish the small nativity scene according to your personal taste further with some straw (alternatively fine wood shavings) and moss or other decorations.
Finally, make a star as a special touch: draw the star shape on a piece of Paper and bend the star out of 2 mm aluminum wire with the help of your template and decorative pliers, bend the remaining piece of wire in a similar way to the picture. Shorten the wire if necessary and fix it to the bark plate. The glued area can be easily and decoratively concealed with a little moss .
