Create maritime lifebuoys
1. Divide the polystyrene rings into four equal parts with a pencil.
2. Paint the surfaces with white, light blue and fireplace red craft paint.
3. Cut one sisal cord (6 mm) per lifebuoy so that it fits generously around the ring. This will later form the border and the handle. Glue the ends of each cord together with craft glue.
4. Use the thin sisal cord to attach the thicker cord to the lifebuoy. Make sure the glued ends are hidden under the wrap.
5. If you wish, you can stamp maritime motifs on white paper, cut them out and glue them onto the rings.
6. Use the template to draw the lettering and colour it in with craft paints. Outline the lettering with a black fineliner to make the lettering stand out.
7 Finally, attach the felt scatter pieces with craft glue.
