These great lanterns are made from lamp foil and embellished with napkin technique. Light up your tables for the special occasion and create a beautiful decoration for communion or confirmation.
This is how you make the lanterns:
Tear or cut the napkin motif of your choice. Remove Tear or cut the napkin design of your choice to size. Remove the two unprinted layers of the napkin design.
Cut the lamp foils to the desired size. You can adjust the size and diameter as you wish.
The lamp foils can be embellished with jagged edges. You can get these by using pinking shears.
Apply your napkin motif to the lamp foil. Coat the area where you want the motif to be later with napkin varnish. Now place the motif and coat again with napkin varnish. Allow to dry.
Now close your lantern by making holes at the edges and connecting them with foil plugs.
For the lamp foil fish, cut cardboard that is narrower than your lamp foil. Now you can punch fish into the cardboard using a magnetic punch. Stick them onto the centre of the lamp foil with double-sided adhesive tape. Cut two tabs at the level of the future tail fin and pin the fish together.
The lanterns can be placed directly on the table or arranged beautifully on glass plates. Equipped with an LED tea light, your tables will shine in a beautiful glow and are beautifully decorated at the same time.
