This is how to make the dinosaur lantern:
Print out the template, cut it out and transfer it to the motif cardboard. The egg and dinosaur must be transferred twice. It is important to transfer them mirror-inverted once. Stick white straw silk on the eggs from the back (green side). Cover the dinos (on the light side) with light green transparent paper. Allow to dry. Glue the dino and egg together with VBS craft glue.
Then draw the intermediate piece and cut it out. Fold the corners. The intermediate piece of the "egg" should be about 40 cm long and that of the dino about 20 cm long. Glue the egg's intermediate piece onto the egg with the dotted side facing outwards. Glue the intermediate piece for the dino (with the green side facing out) first to the intermediate piece of the egg and then further on the edge. Poke a small hole through both ends, e.g. with a pin. Pull a piece of the binding wire through it and twist the ends together.
Finally, bend the wires of the fairy lights into a large ball and place it inside the lantern. You can put the battery compartment inside or glue it to the top of the lantern with hot glue. If the lantern stick is too long, you can shorten it to the desired length with scissors.
The lantern can be used as a night light in the children's room thanks to the timer function of the light chain.
