Owls are a real perennial favourite for Garden Decoration. These two colourful specimens are modelled with papier-mâché on large plastic spheres and painted with weatherproof paint. A cheerful splash of colour for your garden!
Here's how it works
Fix the ball with hot glue on the round rod. Glue two hemispheres for the eyes and two for the feather ears on the Polystyrene hearts ball
Mix the papier-mâché according to the instructions and apply evenly, modelling the beak directly on the ball. Smooth out strong unevenness and cracks with a little water, then let the mass dry well for about 48 hours
Draw the desired contours with a line-ex pen. The eyes first white, beak and feather ears yellow, as well as the bib reseda green primer. Set orange accents on the feather ears and blue on the bib. Dab the wings with a coarse brush with all colours, paint the free area around the marked outline lilac. Work Violet out the contours and finally paint the round stick. Sharp contours with the black permanent Marker draw, thereby also pupils, eyelashes and plumage work out
Tie a coarse bow of natural bast around the stick and stick a branch on it.
