A great and personal gift idea for birth or baptism is this embroidery frame with rainbow. It was designed with the napkin technique and other embellishments were embroidered.

1. Cut out the rainbow on the napkin and remove the unprinted layers.

2. Apply napkin varnish for textiles to the fabric and place the rainbow on top. Now apply another layer of napkin varnish.

3. After drying, fix the napkin with the iron. Follow the instructions on the product packaging.

4. Tension the fabric as tightly as possible in the embroidery ring.
5. Now embroider motifs or lettering as you wish. If you wish, you can draw them on the fabric with a line-ex pen beforehand. In our example we embroidered a name with the straight stitch, the clouds were filled in with the knot stitch.

6. Once you are happy with your result, you can cut off the remaining fabric on the back and stick the edges to the embroidery ring from behind with craft glue.

7. Thread pompoms onto sewing thread and glue them to the bottom of the frame. Another piece of sewing thread is attached to the top as a hanger.
