A personalised, homemade Christmas gift is always something very special. In these instructions, we'll show you how to make this great photo frame with little effort, which has space for several personalised photos or cards. A great gift idea for your loved ones!
DIY picture frame design
First, glue two blocks together with the short side facing each other. Repeat this process. Then glue three blocks together with the short side and repeat this process.
You now have four wooden sticks. Glue the wooden sticks together so that they are the same length and face each other, creating the shape shown in our decoration example.
Making the suspension
Horizontal version: Use a ruler to measure the centre of the top craft block (8 cm) and mark the position with a pencil.
Vertical version: Measure the centre of the two upper craft blocks (8 cm) with a ruler and mark the positions with a pencil.
Repeat the process on the opposite sides and make the markings there too.
Drill a hole at the marked points with a drill and then sand the holes on both sides.
Thread a cord through the holes and knot it outside the frame so that the cord is nice and tight. Now you can attach personalised pictures or cards to the cord with small wooden clips if you wish.
