Create this personalised concrete decoration for an upcoming celebration of faith such as communion or confirmation.
1. Stick one end cap each into the moulds with double-sided adhesive tape so that the castings can be easily plugged together later. The openings must face outwards. For the "Rectangles" mould, the end cap must be fixed at the bottom centre, for the "Fish" mould, the cap must be glued to the bottom edge.
2. Mix the concrete with water according to the instructions on the packaging and pour the mixture into the moulds. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
3. After the drying time, the parts can be removed from the mould and air dry again for a few hours.
4. Now shorten a round stick to approx. 20 cm. The ends must be carved a little thinner so that they fit into the end caps.
5. Paint the round stick with craft paint in navy blue. Use the same craft paint to write the name on the concrete fish. Allow to dry.
6. Now stick the round stick and the concrete parts together. If necessary, fix them with craft glue.
7. Fill a container with fabric stiffener, place the fishing net in it and allow it to soak in for a short time.
8. In the meantime, you can punch out fishes from clay paper. Punch a hole at the top of each fish with an awl and attach a ringlet there.
9. Cover the table with newspaper or something similar and shape the fishing net there. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours.
10. After the drying time, glue the net to the fish from behind with hot glue.
11. Attach the paper fish in the net.
12. If you like, you can also wrap a jute cord around the stick and fix it with hot glue.
