How to model pot & bowl:
Beat the soft clay for approx. 15 minutes. This means you bang the soft clay on the table or use a hammer. The clay must be well kneaded so that no cracks form during the drying time.
Roll out the soft clay like dough with the Fimo Acrylic Roller. The clay should be about 1 cm thick.
Cut out the base for the pot with half an acrylic ball (12 cm in this case). Roll out the Soft Clay so that it is approx. 38 cm long, 12 cm wide and 1 cm thick. Trim the edges or scraps cleanly with a scalpel. Smooth the surface with your hands, using a little water on your fingertips if necessary, so that all the cracks are gone. Using a bamboo skewer, poke holes in the top of the edge at 2 cm intervals. Now place this mixture around the base and smooth everything out well with modelling tools and shape it.
For the bowl, roll out the clay, place it around the half acrylic ball. Smooth it out and cut the edges cleanly again with a scalpel. Again, poke holes at 2 cm intervals.
Now leave the bowl and the planter to dry for approx. 3 days. After the drying time, sand if necessary and coat with clay sealant.
Finally, glue on the wooden rings as feet and decorate with raffia.
