Start by cutting or tearing the desired motif out of the napkin. You only need the top layer of printed paper for the napkin technique. Therefore, remove the lower layers of paper.
To prevent the napkin varnish from pressing through the fabric of the bag, place a VBS handicraft mat in the bag to protect it. Generously coat the area of the bag that you want to design with the napkin with napkin varnish for textiles. Place the napkin motif on top and coat it again with the napkin varnish. The napkin varnish is a protective varnish and glue in one and will become transparent as your napkin dries.
If you want additional lettering on the bag, sketch it out with the sublimation pen and then trace it with the Posca marker.
To fix everything, simply iron the bag from the wrong side for about 5 minutes. The finished fabric can be washed at up to 30°C on a gentle cycle.
Finish your work by labelling a gift tag and attaching it to the cotton bag with a cord and jingles.
