Please put the bulbs in water for 24 hours to allow them to soak. The finished wax bulb does not need any more water in the future and therefore does not need to be watered
We have used a double-walled
aluminium melting pot to melt the wax. This is filled with water at the side filling opening and closed tightly with the stopper. Fill the desired wax
into the melting pot and heat the melting pot on the hotplate. The wax filled in the melting pot is immediately heated and melted by the water heated in the sides and under the base. This prevents the wax from burning or overheating. When the wax granules have melted, let them cool down slightly. Do not use the wax when it is too hot, as it will destroy the cells of the plant.
If you do not have a melting pot available, you can also pour the wax into an old small pot that is no longer used for cooking and place it in a larger pot filled with water on the stove
Now take the onion out of the water and dab it dry. Shorten any roots with scissors
. Now dip the bulb briefly into the melted wax. Repeat until an opaque layer of wax has formed. Let the wax dry.
