In this idea, the two VBS test tube holders "Cube" and "Vase" and small bottle vases (for larger offshoots) are combined.
Decorate with napkin technique
The wide surfaces of the VBS test tube holder "Cube" is painted with craft paint in antique white. The outer surfaces are then decorated with napkin technique: the surfaces to be designed are coated with napkin varnish and covered with the top printed paper layer of the napkin. Excess paper can be easily removed with a scalpel. Then the entire test tube holder is coated with the varnish. This protects the wood and the napkin motif from water and moisture.
In this way, the bottle vases and also the tube of the test tube holder "Vase" are designed. In order for the napkin technique to adhere to the glass, it should first be cleaned of grease and dust.
The test tube holder "Vase" looks especially pretty when it is knotted with a bamboo cord (the spiral knot turned to the left from our macramé basic instructions is suitable for this).
Filling and labeling
Small offshoots are placed in the tubes and vases so that they can grow roots in peace. Water is filled up. Each offshoot receives its own gift tag: decoratively labeled with the name of the plant, they are hung with jute ribbon around the respective glass.
